Children are the biggest victims of armed conflict in the world. The First World Children’s Day with the Pope was held under such a motto in the last days of May. Organized in a spirit of peace and unity, the event brought together 50,000 children from more than 100 countries in Rome’s Olympic Stadium and St. Peter’s Square. The event was held in St. Peter’s Square, where Pope Francis presided over Sunday’s Eucharistic celebration.

The events were preceded by an International Symposium at Lumsa University, initiated by theFoundation 5P Global and 5P Europe. Delegates from Indonesia, Ukraine, Poland, Italy and the Middle East discussed children’s rights and the impact of armed conflicts, such as the war in Ukraine and the Middle East, on the youngest.

During the symposium, the 5P Global Foundation emphasized its commitment to promoting dialogue and peace initiatives. “I feel honored to have been nominated as President of the 5PGlobal Foundation. Our priority is to protect children from the effects of war and to support peace efforts around the world.” – said the organization’s president – Arsjad Rasijd. The meeting was attended by Robert Szustkowski, Ambassador of the 5P Foundation in Europe, who stressed the importance of protecting children from the effects of war.
