In reference to the recent publication of Tomasz Piątek on platform X (formerly Twitter) abd Facebook dated 11/06/2024. I inform that:

  1. The proceedings of the Prosecutor’s Office described by the author of the post were conducted only against Tomasz Piątek and his informant Ewa Domżała, and never against me. Presenting information in a public forum in such a way is a manifestation of blatant stylistic manipulation that misleads the reader of the post;
  2. The court’s reason for discontinuing the case was that there are no proceedings against me, so there are no grounds for applying Article 235 of the CC. on the preparation of evidence by Piątek and Domżała. At the same time, the court pointed out that I have grounds to file a lawsuit regarding violations of my personal rights;
  3. Tomasz Piątek did not win anything. It was the decision of dismissal of the criminal case issued against Piątek and Domżała, and not about winning or losing the court case. I have the right to appeal against this court decision. The details about the case you can find here https://portal.wroclaw.sa.gov.pl/warszawa/
  4. The informant indicated by the author of the post nowhere testifies about my alleged connections Russia;
  5. Instead, the informant testified in these proceedings that my so-called unclear ties to Russia are the result of insinuations by journalists Tomasz Piątek and Grzegorz Rzeczkowski. I quote her testimony below:

Ewa Domżała on June 25, 2019, in this criminal case (number 5 Ds. 1025.2018.1, pages 146 – 147), testified that:

  • spoke with a journalist from Gazeta Wyborcza named Piątek and Rzeczkowski from Polityka about my case. She further testified that it was the journalists who contacted her and it was a loose conversation, and that she (Domżała) did not authorize their publications and did not review their content before publication. She also testified that journalists conveyed their truth using there.
  • In the same criminal case – pages 198-200 – Ewa Domżała testified that she talked to journalists Tomasz Piątek and Grzegorz Rzeczkowski about me. Then, she testified that it was journalists who told her about my alleged contacts with the mafia (the Solntsev mafia), and that the fact that I was supposed to work with the mafia was written by Tomasz Piątek, while she would never have said such a thing and it would never have occurred to her. She also testified that she did not authorize the articles and did not review their contents before publication, and that the claims about my ties to the Mafia were the work of journalists.

Sincerely,

Robert Szustkowski
