- Creator and main funder of the project to build 100 sports zones for children in The Gambia – one of the poorest parts of the world. The project is carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Education of The Gambia and under the patronage of the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The main message is that investment in sport and infrastructure for children means not only physical health, but also education and social development.
- He actively supports international initiatives, including the Aldeas – A New Story project, a moving documentary capturing the last full-length interview with Pope Francis, directed by the renowned filmmaker Martin Scorsese. Robert Szustkowski is the coordinator of the project’s implementation on the African continent (The Gambia).
INITIATOR OF ACTIONS AGAINST DISINFORMATION
- Creator of a pan-European social initiative aimed at protecting EU citizens against disinformation.
- In 2024, he began a dialogue with the European Commission on extending the “Right to be Forgotten” to also apply to media outlets as data controllers.
- His proposals include: the creation of a Register of Violations of Personal Rights, the establishment of a Reader’s Rights Ombudsman, and the introduction of a Standardized Reporting Form for victims of false information.
- He conducts dialogue with the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Digital Affairs, the Polish Data Protection Authority (PUODO), and the Chancellery of the Prime Minister of Poland, where the main message is: Europe must invest in high-quality journalism and fact-checking tools.
Passion and Sports Achievements
- Enthusiast of motorsports and sailing.
- Founder and leader of R-Six Team – a Polish sports team competing in cross-country rallies and offshore sailing regattas.
- The team has participated in rallies such as the Dakar Rally, Silk Way Rally, Africa Eco Race, and the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge. The Africa Eco Race concluded with a victory for the R-Six Team.
- In 2016, R-Six Team debuted in sailing, winning the Multihull Cup in Mallorca.
- Two-time winner of the prestigious Antigua Sailing Week regatta in the Caribbean. The team competes on an HH66 catamaran.
- Crew member of the team that set the world record on the Las Palmas – Guadeloupe route under the command of Roman Paszke on the Renault Eco2 catamaran in 2011. This record has not yet been broken and still stands as the current world record.
